Your home, your retirement, your choice
Equity release, lifetime mortgages and retirement interest-only mortgages, explained patiently and without pressure. Bring your family along. We'd encourage it.
“In my younger days, there was a place that held an almost magical allure for me.”
Mark started his career as an equity release adviser, and his memories of his gran's home in Farnham shaped how he works today. A home is more than its value. It holds a family's history, and any decision about it deserves care.
That's why we take later-life advice slowly. We'll explore every alternative first, including downsizing, standard mortgages and retirement interest-only lending, and we'll tell you if equity release isn't right for you.

Lifetime mortgages
Release tax-free cash from your home while you keep living in it. Interest can roll up or be paid monthly, and the loan is usually repaid when you die or move into long-term care.
Retirement interest-only
Pay just the interest each month from your pension income. The loan is repaid from the sale of your home later on, often at a lower cost than a lifetime mortgage.
Mortgages into retirement
Many lenders now lend beyond 70 or 75 on a standard repayment basis, if your retirement income supports it.
Equity release may involve a home reversion plan or lifetime mortgage secured against your property. It will reduce the value of your estate and may affect your entitlement to means-tested benefits. Early repayment charges may apply. To understand the features and risks, ask for a personalised illustration. There may be a fee for equity release advice, which we'll confirm at your initial appointment.
Questions families ask us
Will I still own my home?
With a lifetime mortgage, yes. You keep ownership and can live there for the rest of your life, or until you move into long-term care.
Can I leave an inheritance?
Many plans let you protect a percentage of your property's value for your beneficiaries. We'll show you how different options affect what you leave behind.
Could I owe more than my home is worth?
Plans meeting Equity Release Council standards include a no-negative-equity guarantee, so you'll never owe more than the value of your home when it's sold.
Should my family be involved?
We strongly encourage it. Equity release affects your estate, and it helps when everyone understands the decision.
